i once knew a boy who drew me a picture of a carousel for my birthday. i had told him one day while we drove aimlessly around the valley that i always wanted a Cinderella carousel in my backyard. i framed the little sketch and told him it was better than the real thing. i once knew a boy who made me a mix of songs that reminded him of me. not songs he thought would impress me or ones which were particularly his favorites, but ones he knew id actually enjoy. ones that told our story. i didn't know it then but i know it now. i loved him.
